The far-right Freedom Party achieved a historic victory in Sunday's national election but may find themselves in opposition after coalition negotiations
Realistically schwarz-rot would be a lame duck government as they will never be able to get a constitutional majority with 57 FPÖ NR-Abgeordnete waiting to pounce.
I agree and think that any alternative to Blau-Schwarz would need a third party like the NEOS in the coalition to give a more stable majority. It would also mean, per your other point, that said government would only need the support of the Greens, say, to pass constitutional legislation, if my maths is correct. On the other hand, as has been discussed in other forums, it remains unclear what the raison d'etre of a revival of the grand coalition in one form or another would be save keeping the FPÖ out of power.
I think Schwarz-Rot-Pink is also more likely than Schwarz-Rot-Grün as the latter would see both parties of the previous government returned to power - despite their losses.
Glad that you are recovering!
Thank you!
